Ayako Saito

Ayako Saito is a native of Japan who came to Colorado as a teenager for college. When she met Ellen’s reclusive little brother, John, she decided to stay. With her credentials as a CPA and CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) she has spent the last twenty-five years building a successful career in auditing and helping nonprofit organizations stay on the right side of the authorities. From their home in Leadville, Co., Ayako and John love most of all to ski the mountains in winter, scamper about above timberline in search of summer wildflowers, and travel to places like St Helena and Ascension Islands, Iceland, Siberia, and the Canadian Arctic in winter, and most anywhere the tourists aren’t.
