Ellen and I began a life together in Helena, Montana in June of 1979.  We got hitched at Crow Creek in in July of 1985. I got a job in Utah and we moved Price in 1989 and Bluff in 1995. My job as river ranger for the Green and San Juan Rivers, with Ellen at my side, was a dream come true for both of us. She got to write and I got to explore with each other’s nearly constant companionship. When she died of an aneurism in 2004, I struggled on until 2007 when I quit my job. Three years later I moved to Helena, Montana, but keep the “man can” in Bluff. Life is good…
